Health Technician (Audiology)
Physical Requirements:
The work is primarily sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing bending; carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts. Ability to read; reading 25% of the time on computers, repetitive motions, i.e. typing. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:
Time in Grade applies to advancement to a General Schedule (GS) position in the competitive service by and individual who within the previous 52 weeks has held a position under non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service. You must indicate on your application the time period that you meet these time-in-grade requirements. There is no specialized experience required at this grade level. Experience at this level would include customer service, computer skills, data gathering and storing, etc. GS-7:
Specialized experience as a Health Technician at this level is required. Experience at this level may include:
managing walk in appointments, cleaning and care of equipment used, screening patients appointments, gathering information about patients, such as medical history, etc. Position Description Number:
