Summary:
Under minimal supervision, the Packaging Technician is responsible for inspection of incoming packaging materials for all JFW brands.
This position supports material and finished good quality while contributing towards our company culture of sustainability, innovation and continuous improvement.
As a QA Technician, you will be a member of the QA Packaging Team and will be responsible for the inspection and approval of materials used for production.
This includes but not limited to incoming material inspection, creation and verification of color standards, maintenance and control of packaging information, and confirmation of label compliance for Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) approval.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for all Incoming Material Inspections Create and maintains pertinent plant and QA related quality documentation Responsible for alerting management for all issues found that affect product quality, functionality and legal compliance Conduct production line audits of packaging.
Verification of materials used against packaging documentation (Bill of Materials) Maintain packaging material specifications provided by Packaging Engineer and Procurement team (including).
Technical drawings/dielines- received from suppliers, approved by packaging Artwork and Color Standards Packaging SOP's and Material AQL's- defined by Packaging Participate in non-conformance and quality meetings and when applicable Participate in and support our Food Safety Management Programs as part of routine duties.
Occasionally travel to other JFW wineries to support bottling quality program Position
Qualifications:
1-3 years of relevant work experience in QC/QA Laboratory setting Basic knowledge of packaging materials used in Food/Beverage industry (Wine industry Preferred) Excellent attention to detail and solid organization skills Experience organizing and maintaining large volumes of data and information Energetic multi-tasker that can thrive in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal communication Aptitude and desire to work as part of functional and cross-functional teams Proficiency in Microsoft Office, JDE Experience a plus Physical Demands:
While performing routine job duties, the candidate may be required to stand for extended periods, stoop, bend, walk, use hands to handle objects, reach with hands and arms, and move or lift objects up to 50lbs.
Pay Range:
