Team Member Position Overview:
In collaboration with the Director of Childcare Services, the Childcare Services Assistant Director oversees a team of preschool site supervisors and preschool teachers, trains and coaches new site supervisors and preschool teachers, as well as supports the ongoing efforts of site supervisors in program development, implementation, curriculum planning, and preschool teacher evaluations /student DRPD assessments.
In addition, the Childcare Services Assistant Director will develop program policies and procedures, oversee scheduling of site supervisor and preschool teachers, and the annual program-evaluation process, along with other quality assurance measures.
Key to the Childcare Services Assistant Director position is the delivery of high-quality preschool and child development services to children in the YWCA preschool l centers, based on the guidelines and requirements of the California department of Education, Early Learning and Care Division.
Minimum
Qualifications:
BA or higher in Early Childhood Administration or related field Site Supervisor permit with intent to obtain Program Director Permit Strong leadership and people skills with ability to hire, train, coach, and motivate staff Must be willing to travel weekly to sites throughout Sonoma and West County Minimum three years administrative and supervisory experience Knowledge of current trends in parenting, childcare/child development (ERS, QRIS, DRDP, ASQ) Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with persons from various social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds Strong organizational skills and high level of attention to detail Demonstrated proficiency with computer technology, tablets, Microsoft Office Conditions of Hire:
Prior to employment, ability to pass agency background check, TB test and physical and immunization requirements Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance Job Type:
