The Human Services Departments Workforce Investment Board Administrative Coordinator will support the operations of the Employment and Training Divisions Workforce Investment Board (WIB) and be responsible for assisting with the implementation of special projects, writing Board items and Program Change Requests (PCRs), carrying out complex administrative tasks, and managing content for the WIB website.
Additional duties include:
Ensuring grant reporting requirements are being met and expenditures are occurring on time Monitoring and approving contractor invoices and reviewing for performance issues Creating and issuing invoices and following up on payments Documenting ideas and strategies during committees or WIB meetings Scheduling and conducting new member orientations Promoting the use of an equity lens in WIB composition, policy development, MOUs/contracts, and data collection and reporting Assisting with grant writing and ensuring department requirements are being met Working in partnership with Job Link analysts on WIB/Job Link policies and procedures to ensure they stay current with state policy changes Ensuring Job Link and WIB certifications are completed and submitted in a timely manner The Ideal candidate for this position will possess:

Qualifications Education:
Any combination of course work and training that would provide an opportunity to acquire the knowledge and abilities listed.
Normally, academic course work in public administration, business administration, management, accounting, political science, economics, statistics, English composition, psychology or closely related courses would provide such opportunity.
Experience:
Work experience that would provide an opportunity to acquire the knowledge and abilities listed.
Normally, some experience related to general administration, accounting, budgetary analysis, or human resources work including the compilation, tabulation, analysis, and presentation of statistical and narrative written reports would provide such opportunity.
License:
Possession of a valid driver's license at the appropriate level including special endorsements, as required by the State of California, may be required depending upon assignment to perform the essential job functions of the position.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of:
administrative techniques and principles of organization, accounting, budget and human resources administration; techniques and practices of research methodology, data collection, and preliminary analysis; report writing; application and use of basic statistics; interview techniques sufficient to obtain information related to employment and administrative matters; written and oral communications, including language mechanics, syntax and English composition; modern office methods and procedures; database, spreadsheet and word processing applications including basic methods of graphic presentations.
Ability to:
