You'll take the lead in managing all aspects of our distribution operations in California, working with a talented team of managers to achieve operational excellence, enhancing customer service, and scaling for growth.
Your core
Responsibilities:
Manage and optimize distribution operations Mentor, lead, and motivate a team of managers Troubleshoot operational issues, implementing effective solutions Stay ahead of industry norms, regulatory changes, and market trends Develop operational SOPs and KPIs, drive performance expectations Foster growth, identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation Continually improve order flow and internal workflows Maintain systems (Apex, OnFleet, CRM, etc.
) and implement new ones as needed Extract and analyze market data to support sales and business development Oversee the fleet review and upgrade initiative, ensuring optimal performance Implement secure cash handling procedures Optimize delivery routes for efficiency while maintaining service quality Collaborate with the brand team/Inventory Manager on inventory levels Monitor inventory and strategize to avoid quality control issues Determine operational staffing levels, and ensure efficient labour utilization Oversee facility compliance with all cities, state, and federal regulations Ensure operational staff maintains required credentials Participate in the annual budgeting process related to operational expenses and capital expenditure Implement strong inventory control measures to ensure inventory accuracy Candidate Profile:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, or related field.
Advanced degree as an MBA preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of the cannabis industry, including California state laws and regulations.
Proven experience in managing operations, supply chain logistics, and production processes.
Experience in strategic planning and business development.
Strong leadership abilities and an aptitude to align operations with business objectives.
Understanding of financial management principles.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
