Redwood Credit Union is looking for a Security Manager that wants something more! As the Security Manager, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks which include:
Define and assist in developing a strategic approach to security and safety services by evaluating threats, assessing risk, then planning and implementing appropriate security requirements for protecting our employees, Members, assets, and brand. Design and implement security standards, policies, procedures, and processes to mitigate exposure from physical security breaches, other security threats, and compliance with applicable regulatory security requirements. Monitor and conduct physical examinations of property to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations. Supervise direct reports, performing activities such as hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, or disciplining. Identify, investigate, or resolve physical security breaches. Prepare reports or make presentations on internal investigations, losses, or violations of security procedures, policies, or regulations. Manage Member Information Security (MIS) program to provide for security and confidentiality of Member Information. May require working extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Respond to medical emergencies, fire alarms, intrusion alarms, robberies, and other workplace emergencies caused by natural disasters or violent person(s) during or after hours. Coordinate security operations or activities with public law enforcement, fire, and other agencies. Manage the credit union's Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering (BSA) Program through investigations and timely reporting of currency transaction reports and suspicious account activity suggesting violations of criminal law including but not limited to money laundering, terrorist financing and structuring. Required Skills Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience conducting investigations, risk assessments, and security advances. Strong strategic and operational capabilities with experience assessing and executing operational contingency plans based on threats and exposure to business executives. Working knowledge of physical security systems to include, but not limited to intrusion detection systems, CCTV, alarm monitoring systems, communications devices, and other security related software/hardware. Thorough knowledge of modern managerial principles, practices, and techniques. Working knowledge of Federal and State banking regulations and laws, especially related to Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering, US Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Ability to direct and supervise the work of others. Ability to travel 10% of the time. Must have a valid California driver's license. Required Experience Education/
Experience:
A combination of education and experience equivalent to bachelor's degree in administration of justice, criminal justice, security management, environmental health and safety, or emergency management, or six to eight years professional work experience in financial services, law enforcement, military, or security-related field. Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
IT Security, Technology ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
